“Transcendence,” features works by Savannah based artist June Stratton, who partially paints but also sculpts and layers her work using plaster, gilding, and oil. Internationally recognized for her extremely unique techniques in paint application, she says, “My process has evolved over decades” and that she strives to create works that, “keep your attention focused on the art and keep your eyes circulating on the painting, which sparks some feeling or emotion.”
