Giving Back Through Art: Celebrating a Season of Charitable Generosity

Posted by Robert Lange on

As the holiday season arrives, we’re reminded that this time of year is about more than festivities and celebration—it’s a moment to reflect on gratitude, compassion, and the many ways we can strengthen our community. We’re incredibly proud to share that our artists have gone above and beyond this season, donating their time, talent, and artwork to a wide range of charitable organizations across Charleston and beyond.

If you are a local charity please feel free to reach out, we'd love to help you and if you need to borrow the gallery for an event, we are happy to host you.

These contributions embody the heart of our gallery: creativity with purpose. Together, our artists supported causes that feed families, uplift veterans, care for animals, enrich the arts, and foster brighter futures for children and students. Here’s a look at the organizations we partnered with this season and the gifts shared.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Giving

Beyond seasonal contributions, the gallery maintains a strong year-round commitment to philanthropy. We donate the space often to local nonprofits and just businesses we love. Annually, we donate upwards of $30,000 (mostly as paintings) to charitable organizations, community programs, and local initiatives.

This includes meaningful support for emerging artists through our Karen Jurick Scholarship Fund, which helps fund a College of Charleston student participating in the annual Young Contemporaries exhibition. Supporting the next generation of artists remains one of our most cherished traditions.

Ok, I think I've gushed enough for one blog post but I'm just so proud of everyone for being so willing to donate their talents.

A Season of Art, Heart, and Community

We are deeply grateful to our generous artists and partners who helped make this season a shining example of how creativity can drive real change. Their contributions remind us that art doesn’t just inspire—it empowers, uplifts, and transforms.

Thank you to everyone who supports these causes, our artists, and the gallery. Together, we’re building a community where art and generosity go hand in hand.

Here’s to a season—and a new year—filled with connection, compassion, and creative impact.
