For the first time in more than 20 years, Robert Lange Studios won't be participating in Charleston's First Friday ArtWalk.
It feels a little strange to write those words.
While construction continues on our historic building, we won't be hosting our usual opening reception, pouring wine, or filling the gallery with friends this Friday evening. It's a tradition we've looked forward to every month for two decades, and we'll certainly miss seeing everyone.

That said, ArtWalk is absolutely still happening, and the French Quarter will be buzzing with incredible exhibitions, artists, and galleries. If you're headed downtown, we encourage you to wander, discover something new, and support our amazing arts community. Fine a MAP here.
Although our doors won't be open for an opening reception, we're still excited to share a beautiful new body of work by Brett Scheifflee, which will be available to view online. His newest paintings capture the quiet beauty and contemplation so many of us have come to love, and we're thrilled to share them with you.

Looking ahead, we're planning to reopen on September 1. You may notice a bit of scaffolding outside and a few gallery rooms temporarily closed as work continues, but we're excited to welcome everyone back and begin settling into our "new normal" while the restoration moves forward.

Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for continuing to support not just our gallery, but the entire Charleston arts community. We can't wait to see you again very soon.
