Welcoming Larisa Brechun to the Gallery

Posted by Robert Lange on

We could not be happier, or more honored, to welcome the incredible Larisa Brechun to the Robert Lange Studios family. There are moments in the life of a gallery when an artist arrives whose work feels so perfectly aligned with the spirit of what we do that it’s almost as if they’ve been here all along. Larisa is one of those rare artists.

Larisa Brechun is an artist residing and working in a tiny town north of San Antonio, Texas. She developed a love for art and all things creative at a young age, cultivating a quiet, deeply introspective approach to painting that mirrors her own nature. Her works carry an undeniable stillness, a sense of mystery and emotion that invites viewers inward. Through subtle brushwork and atmospheric compositions, Larisa captures the fragile balance between isolation and beauty, evoking feelings that linger long after the viewer steps away.

When she sent a painting for our Twentieth Anniversary show, Megan and I instantly brought it home. This is that piece and of all the figurative work in our collection it's the painting I linger on when looking for inspiration.

We’ve long admired artists who lead with authenticity, creating from a place of honesty and curiosity rather than spectacle. Larisa embodies that ethos completely. There’s a humility to her process and a purity in her vision that speaks volumes without ever needing to shout. Her work feels personal, contemplative, and timeless. It's the kind of art that reminds us why we fell in love with painting in the first place.

This December, we’ll celebrate Larisa with a small body of new work, each piece a reflection of her delicate understanding of form, emotion, and light. It’s a true privilege to share her voice with our collectors and community. The work will be on view into January.

Welcome home, Larisa. We’re so thrilled to have you as part of our small family of artists at Robert Lange Studios.
