Art has a remarkable ability to help us see the world differently. It can invite us to pause, reflect, imagine, and connect with experiences beyond our own. This October, we're excited to share that several artists represented by Robert Lange Studios will participate in Walk Through: A Fine Art Exhibition, an extraordinary evening of art and immersive experiences at Charleston's beloved Gibbes Museum of Art.

Taking place on October 22, Walk Through brings together more than 85 original works by local, regional, and nationally recognized artists for a one-night-only art salon. Curated by CINÉ, the exhibition explores three thoughtfully developed chapters: Reclamation, Resilience, and Renewal. Through these themes, the evening celebrates art's transformative power while supporting My Sister's House, a Charleston-area organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and their children.

We're especially proud to see six artists from the Robert Lange Studios family represented in this special event: Megan Aline, Robert Lange, Nathan Durfee, Michelle Jader, Joshua Flint, and June Stratton.

Six Artists, Six Distinct Perspectives

One of the most exciting aspects of a group exhibition is the opportunity to experience different artistic voices in conversation with one another. Each artist brings a unique perspective, approach, and visual language, offering visitors a variety of ways to engage with the exhibition's themes.

Megan Aline

Megan Aline creates evocative paintings that explore the relationship between the inner self and the natural world. Her signature imagery often incorporates silhouetted figures filled with intricate landscapes, blending the human form with forests, light, and organic textures. Her work invites viewers to consider the landscapes we carry within ourselves and the ways nature can reflect our emotional lives.

Robert Lange

As both an artist and the co-founder of Robert Lange Studios, Robert Lange brings an imaginative approach to contemporary painting. His work often blurs the boundary between reality and fantasy, combining meticulous technique with surreal imagery, unexpected narratives, and moments of quiet wonder. His paintings encourage viewers to look beyond the familiar and discover new possibilities within everyday life.

Nathan Durfee

Nathan Durfee is known for his whimsical, narrative-driven paintings that blend pop surrealism, imaginative characters, and unexpected situations. His richly detailed compositions often feature animals and fantastical worlds, balancing humor with thoughtful observations about human nature. Durfee's work invites viewers to embrace curiosity and find meaning in the extraordinary.

Michelle Jader

Michelle Jader approaches figurative painting with a distinctive sense of movement and dimension. Working with layered acrylic panels, she creates compositions in which figures seem to float, fall, or rise through space. Her innovative process gives her work a compelling physical depth, while her subjects explore moments of vulnerability, transformation, and possibility.

Joshua Flint

Joshua Flint creates atmospheric paintings that feel suspended between memory and dreams. Drawing inspiration from layered source imagery, he constructs scenes that are simultaneously familiar and mysterious. His thoughtful compositions encourage viewers to slow down, look closely, and consider the stories and memories that shape how we experience the world.

June Stratton

June Stratton combines traditional oil painting with distinctive mixed-media elements, including luminous gold leaf and sculptural details that extend beyond the canvas. Her work explores the relationship between the human figure and the natural world, bringing together classical influences and contemporary sensibilities. Through rich surfaces and intricate details, Stratton creates paintings that reward both close observation and deeper reflection.

An Evening of Art, Connection, and Community

Walk Through promises to be more than a traditional exhibition. Designed as an immersive art salon, the evening invites guests to move through a thoughtfully curated experience that brings together original artwork, live artistic expression, music, and community.

With works available for acquisition throughout the evening, visitors will have the opportunity to discover new artists, connect with familiar favorites, and take home an original piece of art. Just as importantly, the event supports My Sister's House, connecting the creative community with an organization doing meaningful work for individuals and families in need.

We believe art is at its best when it creates opportunities for connection, conversation, and a fresh perspective. Seeing six artists from Robert Lange Studios participate in this event is a wonderful reminder of the creative community that makes Charleston such a special place to live and work.
