Join Us for the Society 1858 Art Walk

Posted by Robert Lange on

We’re excited to be one of the featured stops on this week’s Society 1858 Art Walk, presented by the Gibbes Museum of Art. The event takes place this Thursday evening, April 9, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to explore Charleston’s vibrant gallery scene alongside fellow art lovers.

At our gallery, we’re especially proud to be showcasing Mia Bergeron’s solo exhibition, Book of Hours—a deeply contemplative body of work that invites viewers into moments of stillness, reflection, and quiet beauty. If you haven’t experienced it yet, the Art Walk is a perfect time to immerse yourself in her luminous, introspective paintings.

What is Society 1858?
Society 1858 is a dynamic group of young arts patrons affiliated with the Gibbes Museum. Their mission is to support contemporary Southern artists and make Charleston’s art scene more accessible and engaging for all. Through creative programming, events, and direct support of exhibitions and artists, Society 1858 plays a vital role in keeping our city’s artistic energy thriving.

What to Expect:
The Art Walk is a self-guided tour through some of Charleston’s most inspiring galleries. You’ll have the chance to meet artists, drink wine, mingle with fellow creatives, and see what’s new and noteworthy in the local art world. We’re honored to welcome Society 1858 and the wider community into our space and to share the magic of Book of Hours with you.

I always like to remind people to wear comfy shoes when gallery hopping in Charleston, the galleries are pretty spread out and the sidewalks are uneven (especially after some wine).

Come say hello, soak in some beautiful art, and celebrate Charleston’s ever-evolving creative spirit with us.
