Of course life happens and things change but as of now, here is what 2027 is looking like. We typically have show openings on the First Friday of each month from 5-8pm during the French Quarter Art Walk, which is free and open to the public. All are welcome to join.
January — Ted Walsh
We're easing into the new year with a quieter offering. While there will be no ArtWalk or opening reception in January, a small new body of work by Ted Walsh will be on display throughout the month. Walsh's landscapes are meditations in painted form—thoughtful, atmospheric works that reward slowing down and looking closely. If you're looking for a peaceful start to the year, this exhibition is a wonderful place to begin.
February — Cold Plunge
Our largest group exhibition of the year returns with a decidedly chilly theme. Each artist will create one or two works inspired by the cold, whether that means polar bears, ice cubes, snowy landscapes, frosted still lifes, or palettes filled with cool blues and greys. Expect over thirty artists to interpret the theme in wildly different ways, making for one of the most diverse and entertaining exhibitions of the year.
March — Flora & Form
Spring arrives with a celebration of three remarkable painters: Narelle Zeller, June Stratton, and Kerry Simmons. Each artist has built a body of work that explores both the female figure and the natural world with extraordinary skill and sensitivity. Filled with flowers, color, beauty, and symbolism, this exhibition highlights three distinct artistic voices connected by a shared fascination with flora and the human form.
April — Reynier Llanes
We are thrilled to welcome internationally celebrated artist Reynier Llanes for his first solo exhibition with Robert Lange Studios. Though his career has taken him around the globe, Reynier has strong roots in Charleston. Last year he completed both a residency and exhibition at the Gibbes Museum, and since then has exhibited internationally, including a recent exhibition in Dubai, while his work has entered numerous public and private collections. This highly anticipated exhibition will showcase the imaginative storytelling and masterful craftsmanship that have made Reynier one of the most exciting contemporary painters working today.
May — Time Capsule
Anchored by Nicola and Erik Johnson, Time Capsule (we may title it "Retro," I'm not sure yet which I like better) invites artists to revisit the objects, memories, and cultural touchstones that shaped our childhoods. From cassette tapes and arcade games to surfboards, toys, and forgotten treasures, this nostalgic group exhibition promises plenty of surprises. Whether it sparks memories of Saturday morning cartoons or summer afternoons spent outdoors, Time Capsule is designed to transport viewers back to another time.
June — Gathered
Still life painting has long been one of the richest traditions in art history, and few artists approach it with as much imagination as Matthew Bober, Diane Davich Craig, and Denise Stewart-Sanabria. Anchored by a major new work from Bober, Gathered brings together three artists whose compositions are layered with symbolism, technical mastery, and storytelling. Though each approaches the genre differently, all three transform everyday objects into something unforgettable.
July — Summer Feature Exhibition

August — Under the Same Sky
Building on the success of our beloved exhibition Many Moons, this new group show invites more than thirty artists to explore one of humanity's most enduring subjects: the moon. For centuries the moon has inspired artists, poets, dreamers, and storytellers, and this exhibition promises a wide range of interpretations—from landscapes and nocturnes to surreal narratives and symbolic works. If Many Moons was any indication, this is sure to be one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year.
September — Nathan Durfee
Charleston favorite Nathan Durfee returns with an exciting new solo exhibition. Known for his vibrant pop surrealist paintings filled with animals, adventure, and humor, Durfee has developed a devoted following through his ability to create imaginative worlds that feel both playful and deeply personal. Rich with detail and storytelling, his newest body of work promises the same sense of wonder and discovery that collectors have come to love.
October — Patrick Kramer
Though this will be Patrick Kramer's first solo exhibition with the gallery, he has been part of the Robert Lange Studios family for years through numerous group exhibitions. Kramer has developed a unique and compelling practice that reimagines iconic masterworks, transforming them as though the original artist suddenly changed their mind mid-painting. A palette knife resting beside a partially scraped-away masterpiece, a famous image interrupted or abandoned—his work is equal parts homage, mystery, and invention. This long-awaited solo exhibition will offer collectors a deeper look into one of the most inventive voices in our gallery.
November — Creature Comforts
As the holiday season approaches, we're celebrating the animals that bring joy, wonder, and companionship into our lives. Creature Comforts will feature a wide variety of animal-inspired works, from beloved pets to wild creatures, interpreted by artists across the gallery roster. Expect plenty of smaller treasures from artists including Marina Dieul, Cassandra Kim, and many others. Charming, heartfelt, and highly collectible, this exhibition is sure to be a crowd favorite.
December — Adam Hall Solo
December will most likely feature a new solo exhibition from Adam Hall, whose annual shows have become a tradition for many of our collectors. However, Adam has recently been invited to develop a museum exhibition project, which may alter the timing of his next gallery presentation. As plans continue to develop, we'll keep everyone updated. One way or another, we'll be closing out the year with something special.
